Daily Tasks
- Conduct developmental screenings and assessments
- Develop individualized intervention plans for children with special needs
- Provide direct therapy services to children and families
- Collaborate with other professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators
- Monitor and track progress of children in therapy programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Child Development, or related field
- Bilingual (Spanish / English)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with infants, toddlers, and children under the age of 2 as a therapist
- Prior experience utilizing the Developmental Assessement Tools (DAYC-2 & HAWAII-HELP)
- Prior experience writing extensive developmental evaluations and treatment plans
- Prior experience working with children in their home-setting (natural environment) as a developmental therapist
- Able to cover ALL of the following cities within Alameda County
Additional Skills
- Experience with early intervention programs and services
- Understanding of evidence-based practices in early childhood intervention
- Ability to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for children with special needs
